As the winter starts to wind down and boating season is back on the horizon many boaters are itching to get back on the water for a great season. When it comes getting your vacuflush system ready for the season its quite simple; first check your tank level, hopefully it's empty from your winterization. If your able to now is a good time to change out your vent filter.(If not reach out to your local vacuflush technician) Next you'll want to visually inspect the tank make sure it doesn't seem to be ballooning or sinking in on itself and check to see that all fittings are still snug and flush to the tank. Once you've made sure the tank is good to go then go ahead and power on your vacuflush unit and your water system. The vacuum pump may run longer than usual no need to worry yet fill the toilet bowl up halfway with water and flush. (IMPORTANT-if the toilet does not empty, shut the system down and call a vacuflush technician) Make sure the water fully flushes down the bowl past the funnel, flush 2-3 more half bowls of water and wait and see if the pump shuts down now. If after the fresh water flush and system is still not shutting down call your vacuflush technician to come down and diagnose your issue.
